The C2C Cycle Route

We are immediately alongside the C2C through Killhope and  we can be your half way house on this challenge. Centrally located at the 84 or 63 mile point (depending on direction W->E or E->W).

The Weardale Way

This long distance walk is 77 miles / 124 kilometres in length running through the “Land of the Prince Bishops”. Steeped in history, beauty and a variety of landscapes this must rank as one of the Ways not to be missed.  The Weardale Way follows, principally, the meandering line of the River Wear from its mouth at Sunderland to close to its source in the North Pennines at Killhope. Weardale Ski Club

Just 10 miles away, to the south-east, just past St Johns Chapel and Daddry Shield. Directions can be found on their website here.

Yad Moss Ski Club

England’s Premier Snow Slope, is around 7 miles away to the south-west, via Nenthead and Garrigill.  Directions can be found on their website here.

Skiing and Boarding at Allenheads

Acorn Bank Gardens
